I am a strategic planning and fundraising consultant and coach, with almost 30 years’ experience in the nonprofit sector. I established my solutions-oriented consulting practice in 2005 after a 12-year career as a financial services business development professional and, more recently, ten years in fundraising management at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
As a sole practitioner, I help advance the missions of nonprofits by bringing a change-management and entrepreneurial approach to strategic planning, board development, and fundraising. My customized services in support of organizational effectiveness include strategic planning, program evaluation & enhancement, human resource assessment, and board development, training & management. I also provide customized services in support of development effectiveness that focus on development functions and donor & database analysis.
I have worked with a wide variety of organizations across nonprofit sectors from community-based social services, arts & culture, and education, to faith-based, and recreation industries, among others. The comprehensive advancement and capital campaign plans I help design incorporate diversified revenue streams focusing on individual, corporate, foundation and public support.
The following values inform my work: compassion, curiosity, empathy, honesty, integrity, loyalty, objectivity, respect, and service.
